To Our Etz Chaim Family
tree of life
Over these years we have truly been honored and blessed to be part of the Etz Chaim Community.  It is a home that nurtures your soul, supports your endeavors, and thrives on the study of Torah and the love of all peoples. It is a place where deeds of loving kindness happen daily. Our lives have been touched by each of you, and for this we will be forever grateful. We may be leaving Etz Chaim physically, but we will always carry with us the spiritual strength of Etz Chaim. It is, indeed, a Tree of Life to those that hold fast to it.

Unfortunately, the time will come for each of us when we will lose a loved one, and for most of us this will be a very stressful time. There will be so many things to take care of and do. But now, thanks to Karen Burstein and Judy Mindel, one part of sitting shiva will be less stressful. Karen and Judy have created and donated "shiva boxes."

Winter Clothing Drive Update-Some Items Still Needed
The Coat and Warm Clothes Drive sponsored by the 10th grade has been a big success and will continue through January 13, 2008, the first week back to Sunday school. We have already taken two full carloads of coats, snowpants, boots, hats, gloves, scarves and other warm indoor clothing to two elementary schools in Aurora where there is a great need. We don't need any more adult coats, but especially need coats for students in kindergarten and 1st grade through 5th grade. Boots are also needed. Please leave donations in the marked green can in the lobby. Thank you from the 10th-grade class!
