Message From
Rabbi Bob
In the Book of
Numbers, there are leaders of the twelve tribes who were
sent to spy out the Land of Israel. However the
leaders of one chapter in the Book of Numbers and their
duties differ with those of a different chapter.
Why would there be such a difference and what do these
differences mean?

Kabbalat
Shabbat Service, July 4th On Friday July 4th we will join in Shabbat
worship at a special time, 6:30 PM, with a Kabbalat
Shabbat Service. Kabbalat Shabbat means greeting or
receiving the Sabbath. The service will be shorter than
our regular Friday evening services. We anticipate that
the service will conclude about 7:15 PM. This earlier
service allows us to enjoy a leisurely Shabbat dinner
following the service in the traditional manner and
celebrate the 232nd anniversary of our nation's
independence.

Message From Our Educator
Each
school year Anne asks for volunteers to help teach
in the religious school. For the upcoming year Anne has
had an overwhelming interest of students that not only
will be coming back, but also students that would be
first time teachers. In her article Anne also
focuses on the specialists on her
staff.

Computers
Needed The computer lab
is looking for gently used computers for the computer
lab. If your computer is a few years old but not
being used anymore, please email Anne with specifics.
When emailing Anne, please include the Make, Model,
Speed(Mhz) and RAM. We are looking to upgrade the lab
this summer and have at least three or four computers
that are too old to work well. We could also use a
few more laptops for use at Westlake.

Membership & Religious School Information
2008-2009 This
past Monday, the office mailed out all of the 2008 -
2009 forms you will need for making your annual dues
commitment and registering for Religious School.
The packet included a Dues Schedule and Worksheet, a
Donation Funds List, Brotherhood, Sisterhood, and ARZA
information. For those with children who attended
Religious School last year you will find the
Registration Forms, Textbook Order Form, School
Calendar, Volunteer Form, and information about bagel

has not attended Religious School in the past, please
note that you will need to let us know so we can mail
you out forms for that child (even if you currently have
other children that attend). All of these
forms were mailed to those families who have met all of
this year's financial obligations. If you did not
receive a packet please call the Temple
office.
